Link devices

Link iPhones, iPads and Macs so they share Play on and listening sessions.

Needs Sterio Server; any number of devices from 0.2.17.

Option 1: make a device discoverable

1. 1On one device, turn on Make this iPhone discoverable (or iPad, or Mac). It stays discoverable for 5 minutes.
2. 2On the other device it appears under Devices ready to link. Tap it.
3. 3Both devices show the same 4-digit code. On the discoverable one, tap Accept, or answer the Link a device? alert.

Option 2: use a link code

1. 1On one device, tap Create link code. The code has 8 characters and works for 5 minutes.
2. 2On the other device, type it in Link code from another device and tap Link.
3. 3You'll see Linked. The device appears above shortly.

Good to know

• Devices in the same listener profile are linked automatically.
• Links chain: link A to B and B to C, and all three are linked.
• Paired devices lists the devices linked to this one; Unpair removes one.
• It works anywhere the devices reach the same server, at home or away.
